Reflecting on Stillness: THE Medicine for the Soul

There is so much going on in the world it is difficult to tell what is true and what is not, especially when you feel the vibrations of it all strongly in your body, mind and spirit.  The world, they say, is projected according to an individual's perception. Honestly speaking, I sometimes marvel that the mind can show up in zillions of ways through each individual mind doing a dance of its own. Where do I fit in, in all of this endless and frenzied activity? In the center of my heart. Yes, that is where.

Be Still and Know.

I believe this is the perfect time to carry out my own personal "awakening" experiments. Upto this point, I was loyally following the words of my favourite Non-Duality teachers, believing that only they know the "right" questions to ask. Is that true?

Be Still and Know.

In comparison to all the other kinds of spiritual and religious traditions, Non-Duality is my preferred path more or less, because it asks nothing of me but my inquisitiveness and enthusiasm to know what is true or not. Granted it is a slow activity, but that is precisely the point. Take your time. Find the answers through personal questions and then watch how those questions feel in the body.

Be Still and Know.

What am I experiencing this moment? Does a question make me squirm? Am I feeling foolish? Incredulous? Mad? Nutty? Shocked? Surprised? ... What?? See, that is the purpose of self inquiry. Honing right into my comfort and discomfort zones impartially. How much of the cracked up world resides within me? Is anything true after all these years I have toiled and laboured to show up as a "good" citizen of the world? Does the discovery make me laugh hysterically??  All of the answeres appear only in silence and stillness, the language of Spirit. All activity of the mind will be suddenly stopped and anchored into one place by posing a question from within and without. A question has the power to stop you in your tracks.

Be Still and Know.

Once you get a taste of such a medicine, you are willing to trade everything to shift paths and move in the direction of the questions. You become flexible and willing to SEE, really see. You begin to feel a new courage within you because all your defences are tumbling down one after the other. The dynamics have changed. And so have you.

Be Still and Know.

Something unimaginable is happening. A strong base is being built under you with no struggles and planning from your side.  The questions themselves are the building bricks upon which a strong foundation in consciousness is built. Every Soul seeks this kind of Cosmic Support.

Be Still and Know.

With Love, Lavina Olive xo
